AZULAIRE systems quietly move room air through a reflective chamber, sanitizing the air with germicidal UVC light, without generating harmful ozone.
UVC light has a wavelength range that is readily absorbed by the RNA or DNA of airborne pathogens. This causes a photolytic process that damages the pathogens' genetic material, neutralizing it.
The US Department of Homeland Security has shown that in the presence of UVC light, aerosolized coronavirus particles would be neutralized in less than a minute.
